Core Values: Final Project

I have three core values: My customers, the environment, & the community we surround ourselves in. Obviously customer satisfaction is a big part in any brand. You want your customers to feel comfortable and invited when they are shopping with you. I am committed to creating strong relationships with customers and keep them going for the future. Brands offer a set of values, a vision and an attitude. Organizations establish a brand position to project a consistent public and internal image. This brand position sets perimeters to help respond to opportunities and challenges and also gives context to those who work for the company.” (Davis, 27). My customers are what keep me happy and ultimately in business, so I thrive to be loyal, dependable, honest & reliable. “The ‘own brand’ also offers a one-stop shop for the customer – if they trust the brand, they can buy all their goods under the same label” (Davis, 147). The environment is another huge value I have. We want our world to prosper as much as we do, so it is only necessary that we treat it how we want to be treated; with respect. At Desert Diva, we use all recycled materials & when we’re done we recycle it ourselves. We try to create a very minute carbon footprint & since we hand make all of our jewelry we don’t have to go through any manufactures, whatsoever.  Branding is important because of the way the company behind the brand behaves. Its creation or demise can affect government policy, social and industry trends, the global economy, as well as the stakeholders who have an interest in the brand (including investors, employees, customers and the press).” (Davis, 32). We want our brand to be known for the good it does for our earth & for the people. Lastly, the community…since Desert Diva is a small business, we like to support other local small businesses and the community in which we surround ourselves. In today’s world it is not only important to be environmentally responsible, but socially responsible. We want to give back to the community since our community gives so much to us. We participate in local farmers markets & charities around our community.Brand style comes from the core – that is, the values of the brand. Brand values are the belief systems behind the brand. They are usually described as succinct adjectives that are often associated with archetypal characteristics: fun, rebellious, winning or inventive, for example. The designer must integrate the values into any brand communication, and their creative ideas should work around these." (Davis, 82).
